Your otter. The person who will be by your side for ever and ever. And now you are getting hitched. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">But you dont want a run of the mill ceremony. You want a ceremony thats full of love, thats potentially got a storm trooper/dinosaur/Pikachu involvement, where you can include whatever content you want and/ or you want to do it at midnight/in your garden/in the cowshed/in the bar where you met. You want to involve all your guests/have no guests/have only animal guests<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">This is where a wonderful breed of people come in the wedding Celebrant. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Now lets get this out there straight away. A Celebrant in England and Wales cannot do the legalities at the time of writing. Yes there is a Law Review to be put before Boris and his chums and yes we are doing everything we can to encourage them to change this but this is not going to happen in the next few months. There are Celebrants who follow a belief based system, such as Pagans or Humanists, or Independent Celebrants who dont. But the most important thing is that you click with your celebrant. All the Celebrants I know, whatever their chosen route, believe that the most important thing is you two. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">The first thing to do is decide the feel of your ceremony. Do you want a theme ? You may want to reimagine Glasto, so does your celebrant have a pair of wellies? Do you want your ceremony to be full of humour and laughter? Does your celebrant make you laugh? Do you want a ceremony to make people feel warm and fuzzy inside? Do you get that vibe from your celebrant? See how they can enhance your tiny seed to make it grow into a a full bloom of an idea, whilst still making sure they keep you at the centre of it. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">If they have reviews read them all. But dont rule a celebrant out because they are new. We all have to start somewhere and the person with the most reviews arent necessarily going to be right for you. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">If youve got something specific in mind talk it through with your celebrant before you book them. You dont want to have got your heart set on an owl flying in with the rings to find that your celebrant is allergic to feathers and will be sneezing for the rest of the ceremony. Or to be planning your ceremony on a high wire to discover your celebrant has a fear of heights!
